Announcing the Healthcare list from JKP
JKP is proud to announce the launch of our Healthcare list focusing on topical and key issues, highlighting innovation, and tackling health inequalities in the areas of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and midwifery.
The list will include bold and innovative content across a variety of topics, including the treatment and management of chronic conditions, person-centred healthcare, working in multidisciplinary teams, and developing soft skills such as leadership and research. We also want to shine a light on how to tackle health inequalities, which have been brought into sharp focus by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The list will feature a range of titles from evidence-based prevention programmes to informative guides to equip healthcare professionals with skills and knowledge, as well as platform patient experiences. The list will include a range of products including print books, ebooks, audiobooks, workbooks and webinars.
The upcoming titles on the list focus on midwifery; Supporting Queer Birth by AJ Silver features stories and experiences of LGBT+ parents and professionals in the field. AJ Silver is a birth and postnatal doula and they created the Queer Birth Club, the UK’s only LGBT+ Competency workshop for those working in the birth world. Supporting Breastfeeding Past the First Six Months and Beyond by Emma Pickett is an evidence-based guide for professionals covering essential information on breastfeeding past the first six months, starting solids alongside breastfeeding, nursing manners, and common problems and challenges. Yoga on Prescription by Paul Fox and Heather Mason explore the rationale and benefits of yoga on social prescription and publishes in June.
